A disclosure statement is required for all advertisements. The proper disclosure statement must be used in order to be in compliance with the requirements of the law.

The following is a list of the the specific items that both require and do not require a disclosure statement:

A Disclosure Statement is not required for pens, pencils, magnets and other such novelty items.

Virginia Law Requires Every Campaign To Collect:
Name, address, phone number, occupation, and name of employer, from each individual who contributes more than $100 in the aggregate to a candidate in any campaign. Contributions are not tax deductible for income tax purposes. Corporate Contributions are welcome.

Spaces for this information are included on the Invitations RSVP respond card with return addressed envelopes included and on the Contributor Volunteer Envelopes
