Artwork Guide Lines

Camera Ready Artwork Is

A layout in black and white form in which all artwork and copy is complete and does not require any changes, additions or subtractions before reproduction to negative or positive film. Art with two or more colors may require an overlay for each color.

Camera Ready Artwork Is Not

Photocopies or hand sketches - fax transmitted artwork or logos - logos requiring copy to be added - a multicolored job not color separated

Art Charges: Custom Design and Proof, Faxed for approval, cost estimate $45.00. Customer Revisions or Alterations billed at $45.00 per hour, 1/4 hour minimum. Initial order only.

Creative Design:

Graphic Design: $50.00 per hour
Logo Design Deposit: $250 - Includes consultation, design sketches and final presentation.
Logo Design: $50.00 per hour
Vector Art Editing: $40.00 per hour
Clip Art file search: $15.00 per image - place image $5 each placement
Save to Disk or CD: $5.00 minimum - large file sizes quoted
E-mail: $10.00 each file

Computer Services:

Typesetting: $40.00 per hour
Electronic Pre Press: $50.00 per hour (linking text files, graphics, photos and fonts)
Convert a file $15.00 (ex. .jpg .ai .tif .pdf) -- e-mail a file $10.00 - If the file size is to big it may have to be compressed, call for quote.

Scanning:

Line Art: $10.00 each
Black & White Halftones $15.00 each
Color Scans (reflective): $30.00 each -- slides: $45.00 each
Photo/Color Retouching: $65.00 per hour (photoshop)

No art charge will be added if complete art is submitted. Digital art is preferred.
Setup charges on certain items (always listed below item in Special Charges) will be billed accordingly.

Guide Lines for Computer Generated Art: We accept 3.5" diskettes, zip disks, compact disks and e-mail jhdesign@erols.com. PC or Mac.

Digital Imprint Colors & Color Matches: Must be selected from the pantone process colors imaging guide to simulate solid colors using the four pantone colors (yellow, magenta, cyan, black). Note: exact color matches cannot be guaranteed. Metallic or fluorescent colors are not available.

Proof Notice
Fax Proof: No/charge - - convert file for e-mail: $10.00.

Proofs: If color output from supplied disk is questionable, a paper print will be sent for approval before production.
